Influenza Vaccination

The Western Digital Technologies Health Insurance Association subsidizes the cost of influenza vaccinations.
Vaccines are an effective way to prevent serious illness, even suppressing the onset of infectious diseases if infected.

Eligible Candidates Insured persons or dependents on and after the vaccination date
Subsidy Availability Inoculation received during the specified period
Vaccines Eligible for Subsidy Seasonal influenza vaccines
*Influenza vaccines not approved by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare are not eligible for this subsidy.
(e.g. FluMist live intranasal influenza vaccine, etc.)
Amount of Subsidy Subsidy provided as health points (1 point per yen) equivalent to actual expenses up to 4,000 yen per person being vaccinated
Application Procedure
  1. Get vaccinated at a healthcare provider and receive a receipt for the amount paid
    [Required Items on the Receipt]
    • (1) Full name of individual who has been vaccinated
    • (2) Examine details (influenza vaccination)
    • (3) Vaccination date
    • (4) Name, address, and contact information of the healthcare provider
    • (5) Receipt stamp of the healthcare provider
    • (6) Payment amount
  2. Please apply for the subsidy using either a digital or paper application.
    • (1) Digital application
      Please apply using the digital application service on the Western Digital Technologies Health Insurance Association website.
    • (2) Paper application
      Submit the Point Request for Influenza Vaccination Subsidy and a paper with the receipt by postal mail to the address below.

  • Receipt (original)
    - Insured persons must fill in the full name of the person who has been vaccinated, details of the examination (influenza vaccination), and date of vaccination as well as the name, address, and contact information for the healthcare provider in addition to a receipt stamped by the healthcare provider with the payment amount.
    - Please take separate receipts if more than one person is vaccinated at the same time. If the healthcare provider cannot issue separate receipts, please ask the healthcare provider to include the names of the people who have been vaccinated and a break down of the charges.
