2025/02/04 Issue of a “Medical Expense Notification” for tax return for deduction of medical expense
f you need a “Medical Expense Notification” for medical expense deduction on your tax return, please follow the procedures below.
Procedures
(1) WDTJ Health Insurance web “Itemized Statement of Medical Care Costs”> Login → MY HEALTH WEB > “医療費情報” > Go to “医療費控除申告用” page
(2) Click on “電子申告(e-Tax)” or “書面申告(Print and Submit)”
Figures in ( ) refer to the method of submitting the information to the tax office.
① ”電子申告” allows you can download medical expense data at any time.
② “書面申告” Issue application deadline is Monday, March 31, 2025.
Precautions
(1) Medical expense data is received from the medical institution to the health insurance association after 2 to 3 months of treatment month.
Therefore, there may be cases in which medical expenses received after October will not be reflected in the medical expense notification in time.
For treatment expenses not reflected on our medical expense notification, please attach receipts issued by the medical institution and file your own tax return.
(2) For those who have applied for “書面申告”, we will mail your medical expense notification to your home in about 1 week.
(3) Inquiries regarding tax returns cannot be answered by our health insurance association. Please contact the tax office in your residence.
